Pool Time

In our Apartment complex, we have a pool. In the summertime we usually go about 1 or 2 times a week. It takes a lot of work to go to the pool  with three and it is often times easier just to stay in and enjoy the air conditioning. We have filled our time with other activities, library, lunch at the local school, walks, and other various adventures. So we have attempted to keep busy during these summer months. On this particular day we learned that a theatre in the city next to ours had $1 movies (how I wished I had learn of this earlier). It was Winnie the Pooh, and none of us had seen it, so I felt it would be a great opportunity to go. We packed up and headed there along with a coupon for a free popcorn with the purchase of a drink. We met up with several of our friends from church and had a great time. Afterwards we were invited to join them at the pool close to where they lived. Mind you, we had no swimming apparel with us so we stopped in at the closet store, JCPENNY (which was having a clearance on summer items) and picked up a suit for C and E to wear and have for next year.  It was so spontaneous! It became a party (to celebrate one of my friend's birthday). There was pizza, drinks, sushi and cookies galore. The kids had a ball. Really swimming is much more FUN when you can do it with FRIENDS and cookies!
