On Monday, August 25th, we scheduled for Septemeber 10th to be the induction day. The doctor checked and noticed that I was dilated 4-5 cm. From the last time, I was 3 cm. So the doctor mentioned that the baby could come before the induction date.
S jokingly mentioned that it would be ideal for him if the little one came and joined us on Friday. Being that it was Labor Day weekend (interesting holiday name), he would automatically have the following Monday off and could take a couple more days to help out.
Wouldn't you figure, it happened. We welcomed "E" to our family on Friday, August 29th in the morning. We have enjoyed every moment with him. Although early he is perfectly healthy and a-dora-ble! He sleeps a lot and doesn't cry unless he has been unwrapped. He loves to stay snuggled.
C is adjusting well. She loves to look at him and asks to hold him often. She is always curious about every little thing I am doing with him. She is also very helpful!
A fun note: S's sister, MR was expecting as well and ended up having her fourth little one the same day. She came earlier in the morning. So now, E shares his birthday with one of his cousins. How fun!
