Month of Love-February

For me the month of February, although the month with the shortest amount of days, seems to feel like the longest month of the year. However, this year has proved differently. We found ourselves in our home(or Mom Mac's) iced and snowed in for a few days this month. We had so much ice and snow the beginning of the month that S was fortunate to have 4 consecutive days off from school/student teaching/stress. So, we decided we would head over to Mom Mac's home and have a mini-vacation. It consisted of socializing, eating warm meals and even a hair-cutting time. With the ice, came our fair share of falls. Luckily, I was not one of them (knock on wood).

I did find myself sick the final two weeks of the month. One week with fever, a result from some nursing issues and a cold/flu-like illness the second week, a result of some sinus issues. I felt as if there were some days I just was not going to make it until S called and said he was on his way home. It has been a trying time with three and being sick, but we all "Survived".

S: He is constantly busy doing a juggling act with church, home, school and student teaching. He is tries to get to bed early most nights to have the energy he needs to accomplish his many tasks. Soon he will find himself really going full force into job searching. It is a fun and scary process.

Em: She is growing so quickly. Her smile can really brighten anyone's day. Just today while at church we walk into the chapel and a Sister asked if she could hold her to help out. After sacrament was over, she said she was grateful for the baby-fix. She loves to hear and play with her brother and sister. When someone is talking to her she begins to coo and make adorable sounds in response back. My MIL points out each time we see her, that her eyes are still blue. We wonder if they will change.

E: What a character he is becoming. He so much adores his sisters. He is so loving and kind. His laugh is truly contagious. He could play for hours with just a few blocks, constantly creating different things with them. When watching a home video one day, he sees a picture of his Aunt and says, "Eli misses Aunt M all the time". In his prayers, he usually says everyone's name in the family that he can think of at the time. Also, after celebrating my MIL's birthday, in his prayer he would repeat how she opened her presents and what she received.

C: She, too, is growing up quickly. I am still trying to figure out if I will be ready come fall to send her to school. Our day won't be complete without her. But I know that she will love it come time. She is a tremendous help at home. She loves to organize and make things look nice. She has an unbelievable imagination. She is constantly playing pretend. She would rather play with common items then most toys that have been given to her.

E always ask me to take a picture when he is holding Em. He is usually content with a pretend one.

Here are a couple favorites of Em. Although any picture of my children is A-dor-able!

Waiting to get into see Sesame Street Live!
